due to the ta catalog not loading worth a crap on my computer i need to ask a question or 2 about the stage 2 TE head. can i get them bare cut for the 2.30 and 1.90 valves?
will the 4.35 bore I'm using be compatible with them shrouding wise?

will I be able to use my old KB roller rockers with those heads?

what will the spring recommendation be for a flat tappet solid cam and will the old rockers be compatible with them clearance wise?

what should i expect of the heads without any porting?

the reason I'm asking is i am going to buy this stuff piecemeal instead of all at once just because i cant seem to pile up money without spending it.

this thing is Going to be done by Salem even if i cant get em ported.....thanks,fish

1.81 exhaust is as big as anyone I know runs. I would imagine that Mike may be able to come up with a seat for that bigger valve.. you have to call TA on that... which begs the question.. you having custom valves made?.. I know of no Buick length valves available in that diam, but then again I have not been trying to buy any either.. Nitrous application I imagine..

TA 1125, shimmed to produce 320-330 lbs at max lift.

With no porting, that head will prolly go 280 ish.. with a pocket port and a bit of chamber work, 315-325 easily. Yes, a little short turn work and bowl blending is that important.

Hey Fish, I don't think there's enough room to run a 2.30 int and a 1.90 exh. valve. I have the TE's with the 2.260 int. and 1.75 exh. pretty sure anyways.... The valves are pretty close together, almost touching, so I figure bigger, in that location will not work.

    sorry i confused yall

i am looking for the most valve i can get over the counter, preferably something you guys are already using. what do you guys recommend? should i just get a set of TE's for stage1 valves..i'm going to have to get new valves anyway,so i figured i'd get the best as long as i can use my kb rockers and flat tappet solid cam.

i'm pretty much backed into a corner as to the money i can spend, and the best i figure to spread it out is to get bare castings first. buy valves and springs next.

i wont be running nitrous this year just for the fact its a new combo and i want to get the chassis sorted out with a reliable engine and trans. what cam to use will be one of the last things i worry about.

thanks for all the help guys...fish

I agree with Gary my TE's have the larger valves and there is very litttle space between the 2 valves.
