  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

This took place in the spring of 1981, I think. Big Mitch(6-4 275) and I had been out junk yarding for parts for my 71 GS and his 69 Mach1. We had just come back into town for some muches and cold one. Crusin thur town. We pull up to 2nd of a 3 light street before it the road heads back out of town,we were almost down town tobe exact. It was about 12:30 in the after noon. When stop at the red light ,Stero jammin. When a man pulls up in his 71 CST Chevy pick-up. It was a nice looking truck. He looks over smiles and gives a couple of revs. Mitch looks at me with a thin smile. Light turns Green woops to much gas :3gears: , but it hooks and we back buy singing Wouldn't rethere drive a Buick. At the next light he drive up and gives us the thumbs up. I am know behind a car , the truck is up beside it and I look to my right and there sets a 70 HO Trans Am. This ole'boy is give it a few revs. Big Mitch looks at me with his thin lip smile . I on the other hand had riden in the bird awhile back.455 HO witha 4-speed. Ah what the hell. The light turns green . The truck pull up and the bird pulls out to side . I 've had to wait for the car in front of me to left .Come on move!!. They've got a couple hunderd of yards on me , but :3gears: . I pass the truck, Big Mitch waves and to catch the bird. Over the railroad tracks to the his rear quater panel to his dooor down into the dip , top of the hill, got him by door and I look to the bottom of this hill and there is aroad crew on the outer apex. OH S#$% Big Mitch is grapping the dash board . 120 . Look into the mirrow got him. Turn into the apex , in front of him. Come out of the corner letting her drift. Catch her on the white line seeing shovels and rakes and a@@holes and elbows, go fliing to the ditch. Their comes a point when your brain kicks back in and you begin to shake. By the time pull over to stop and turn around. My knees are knocking and Big Mitch is screaming at me :spank: :spank: ,when the bird pulls up. He gives me :TU: and leaves. WE go back into town. Then it dawns on us we could have killled or been killed. Ah let's go home .WEgot a way with it for one sunny saturday morning.
