Hello Buick fans! My wife is a Rural Postal carrier. In 2019 I purchased and imported this Twin Turbo. This year the secondary turbo, a VF14 OEM#14411aa112, is humming/whining under load. I have searched the interweb and having little luck finding someone in the US to rebuild this Turbo. Does anyone in the UK want to help me obtain that reman turbo then ship it to me in the US? Troy
Another suggestion if you are still having trouble finding a rebuilder, is to find a Subie board and ask them. I'm sure someone there will know of a rebuilder.
I've been on my 2nd gen Subbie facebook group for the last few weeks trying them first. I was able to find the Primary, IHI VF13 via a conversation there. I also had an offer from a user in Australia to sell me a used one, but he hasn't followed up on that offer. Thank you for that suggestion. Troy
Got another idea if you are still having trouble. Motortrend used to have a show called JDM Legends. That's the name of a shop in Utah that specializes in Japanese makes. Worth a call if nothing else is panning out.
Jimmy at Pure Turbos said they cant do this, he provided a name PT Turbos, they also responded they can't get the rebuild kits. Troy
I let Jimmy know I had already received a "no" response from the contact he gave me and thanked him for even giving a thought to who could help. He responded explaining how busy he is and doesn't like to do stock turbo rebuilds. Asked about how long my wife can be without this car for her job and mentioned he might help. I responded and thanked Jimmy again for his kindness for even considering to help. He looked into it and sees his distributor has the rebuild kit and In Stock status so he inquired. Maybe something is moving forward. Thanks for the lead! Troy
