will they work on a 75 buick electra if so what needs to be pulled.if they dont fit, ill grab them to sell them
Don't think they will work. I have someone who has a Ford Bronco that needs them. Let me know what you find out from www.scarebird.com He will tell you what works. He sells the correct mounting brkts for rear disc brakes.
I think I've seen a '77 Riviera (there-a-bouts) w/ a 4 wheel disc set up. I know this was part of the GM corporate downsized models, so I don't know if that rear axle or rear discs will work on prior years full-size Buicks. Just FYI. My bad. I was remembering what I thought was now a 1978 Riviera Anniversary Edition (GM 75th) vehicle. But here is a link to a recent article in Hemmings about 4 wheel (i.e., rear disc) conversions, however, it does frame the discussion from the muscle car angle. It contains some tech & source info that may be helpful. http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2004/09/01/hmn_feature20.html Quote from the article "GM had six different rear disc-brake caliper setups from the late 1970s to early 1980s. Most were for Cadillacs, but some were also used by Buick, Pontiac and Olds."
I used 1976-78 Cad Seville rear discs on my 1971 Riv. Bit of work, but not hard. Cheaper than aftermarket if you can scrounge through salvage yards. Let me know if you want a complete run-down of the project. I then used a master cylinder and prop valve from a '71 Eldo (FWD) with rear discs.
