FOR: My 1976 Indy Pace Car Replica Turbo 6 Project (Trying to keep Buick's Free Spirit alive !!! ) FROM: Any 1976 - 1977 Buick Regal or Century 2 Door Models NEED: 1) Rear Bumper (must have the option for the Impact Strip) 2) Rear Bumper Reinforcement 3) RH Passenger Side Front Inner Wheel House / Skirt 4) Radiator Core Support to Header Panel Brace 5) Front Bumper Center Hard Plastic Filler & Rubber Ends 6) RH Passenger Side Fender 7) Left & Right Rear Quarter Panels / Patch Sections (in front and behind of the wheel opening. Hopefully someone is willing to cut out the sheet metal needed in sections or the entire panel front to rear up past the top body line - I don't need the sail panel area) If you are in a situation where shipping the parts is a concern because of needing a box or what not, I can always send you a box filled with packing material and then issue a call-tag to retrieve it from your door step I can also arrange to have a trucking company pick up anything too larger to go normal means. partouta76 or UnseenGSX, I am looking for a rust/damage free drivers side fender if you have one, thanks Bill. Stage2turbo6 I have a set of inner sail panels, the plastic that cover the side window area for a 76 pace car if you need them. thanks Bill.
Hey "partouta76" Thanks for the post. Let me know what you have left over. To answer your question... rare now but not in the late 70's & 80's. Growing up in the 80's these cars were everywhere and plentiful in the junkyards but that ended quickly as the need for heavy full framed cars increased for scrap steel.....so like so many in this time frame, they were crushed! Honestly....after 1973 you either like or don't like the "colonade" styling. Since the general consensus was that the end of muscle car era was 1972 anything after was well undesirable. TTops became popular as an add on back to 1973 or as a production option from apx 1976 on. There are a few 1976/1977 regals & century models that have been on eBay and continue to be re-listed (keyword there) on ebay again and again never seeing the big dollar reserve people think they are worth. Some of the listings are for low mile clean examples! It is a limited market....parts are scarce and the BIG point here is desirability. Rarity does not always equal $$$. I know this first hand as I own a fully restored 82 Turbo GN which is a trailer queen headed to a museum some day! Desirability is what brings the dollars & the demand for parts as well. So if you are into post 1973 models again, the Buick models are not as highly ranked as like the 442's & Luguna's in that time period... Just my 2 cents.
yeah thats what i kinda thought that the parts wasnt the most wanted parts in the world. i live in defiance ohio. To be honest i havent even went down to get the car yet. Was meaning to stop in today and check out parts for people but before i knew it it was dark out side. Ill try in morning befor i go to work
