    Can someone tell me the name of 1973 exterior color code O, P, and R? I believe they are special order, they are not listed on the order form. Thanks.

    Eric, Sorry for not getting back to you sooner,but I have been extremely busy at work as well as home so I haven't had time to do much 73 or car stuff lately.Being a Union president is taking a toll now. Hopefully,it will get easier in the next weeks.As for the color names, Ican't locate O but P is the color of my GS Burnt Coral. The R is Midnight Gray...Both of those are Riviera colors or special order colors. My Sloan info has it as being 3-1 special paint.

    That helps a lot. Phil's Suncoupe is code OO2. Some kind of yellow.

    There is not a code O in 1973,
    but there is a Q.

    Q = Taupe Metallic code 66
    P = Burnt Coral code 65
    R = Midnight Gray code 67

    Eric, from what I can tell it's not O its a -- on my tag (SCO) Seems it is a non GM paint or there would be a GM paint code #? I had the paint matched at PPG but, they have no match (Corporate or anythig else so far for it)(1 of 1 Len Imke must know his stuff!!:Brow: :TU: ) Eric when are you going to Sloan I keep getting the run around now that Andy Cark is not there:rant: I could use the Docs on the gold 4 speed that I got from M B. (73 4speed) Mike said he did not want to spend the money for the docs and misc stuff from Moorehouse? ($300 plus for the sloan and a placard?) (Pat, Mike does not say anything about the pics you sent him:Do No: ) Anyway anything you can do E would be appreciated (you are in the area as I recall from another post?) Sorry for the long post cant wait for the winter to end:3gears: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:

    You guys are awesome, thanks for the help and the humor! I have Sloan information on four interesting '73 stage 1 cars, two with SCO exterior color "OO", and two with SCO exterior color "OO2" (black vinyl roof). One belongs to Phil. Phil, I believe your body tag reads SCO "45-B". Can someone translate the color code "45-B"? I guess the "-B" is the black vinyl top.

    Phil, how long have you been waiting for your docs? Jeff Taylor is a good guy and he's been very cooperative with me. I know he does the VIN lookups in batches in order to preserve the microfilm.

    1973 GM color code 45 = Blue-Green, Corvette only.

    Thanks Eric I will look at my car as soon as I am home (with my glasses on) I have tried 3 or 4 times since Andy left Sloan Credit cards, calls, etc. I will PM you the VIN if needed or should I call this guy again and mention your name:3gears:pS there is a past thread here somewhere about my VIN Tag?

    Hi Phil -

    Here is the original post discussing your cowl tag.

    Thanks Marco for alerting me to the previous post. Since "45" is not the color code, and order code "O" doesn't exist, it will only be on the invoice or build sheet, too bad.

    Phil, I can only guess Jeff lost your request because I have seen him running VINS every week or so. It shouldn't take several months. I don't think mentioning my name will help but it made me laugh.
