I was stunned when I saw this and seriously interested until the former owner was kind enough to clue me in on it……….now I’m sad apparently no matching non original 4 speed car with junkyard motor and now they added a sunroof to it to boot….. but it is a real code “V” Stage 1………and only $41,995!
I saw it at MCACN in person in Nov 2019. It looked decent, but needed “love”, guy wanted 25k. It was Phil R’s old car and we talked. Phil told me it was a made over roach, and to steer clear. There are better ones out there for less $$, and a primo one fir a bit more. Crazy …..
No, this is a different car. Not Phil's old rot box. This is a nice clean car, just not correct as far as numbers, etc.
So if it is a decent car, just not numbers matching, how's the price? Seems high but I'm no expert. At the very least I know these Volo guys will tack on a bit.
Not my old car. It is Tom Miller's's and then Larry Gibson's old car You did see my old 4 speed car at MCACN in 2019. Rust bucket/Bondo Queen. Nothing in the driveline was matching numbers. The car was originally Harvest Gold from the factory with white Bucket seats. It is documented By the Sloan Museum from the Buick Archives as a real V code Stage1 4 Speed. A Guy named Jeff Allen bought it last year at Indy Mecum fully knowing everything I said was wrong with it from a different seller than me for $31,900 inclucing Mecum's fee. He was fully aware of all the things wrong with it from reading a post with my honest description of the car here on the board last year. Look it up. He loves the car and didn't care about all that was wrong with it. Go figure! I was amazed at the price he paid for it, but it is a real 4 speed car with its original body (what was left of it) and chassis all covered in tar along with tar covering and newspaper in the rear wheel wells and tar covering the trunk. Car prices have risen to an insane level since the pandemic started and in the last 6 months have risen even faster to stupid money levels for good cars.
