Very cool. Factory tach with only idiot lights is kind of unusual too.

Perfect example of when rare and desirable are two different things

I not so sure it was built with a tach. The sales order shows an electric clock.

    Yep, U6 Electric Clock.

Was sold to a priest originally (No not Judas! Lol).
    “Our Lady of the Lake”.
Current owner said he swapped clock out as Brad guessed.

If I bought it, that would get a 4 speed swapped in before the engine got cool.

I like. The good thing about 3 on the tree is you can have your honey right next to you.

That three on the tree is definitely a millennium anti-theft device!

Now now Jason, a 3 on the tree would make you look cute & vulnerable to the chicks:D:D:rolleyes:

I met the original owner of a 1970 Skylark vert with a 3 on the tree at a car show in Clearwater in Feb 2019. He said the car was a "factory mistake". He also had the car's "Mimi Me". 70 Vert.jpg Skylart Int.jpg Pedal Car.jpg

I have also seen a 72 3 on the tree, red with white ragtop and interior.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

There is a Catholic Church near my home here in TN that is also called Our lady of the Lake but I don't think any of the staff there had a cool 3-on-the-tree '72 Buick convertible.

I have an old Chevy truck with a 3-on-the-tree and when I dropped it off to have some tires installed a couple years ago they had me pull it into the service bay because none of the tires tech felt comfortable trying to drive it.

  18. My car was originally a 3 on the column 350/2V. Came with 2.93 gears.

    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

My 72 Skylark Convertible "3 on the Tree" came with 3.08 gears.... I swapped to posi 3.42 gears and converted to a 4 speed.... pedals and odometer are still original.
