Is there even a chance that a 1972 GS Stage 1 car could have been ordered, or purchased with a suncoupe option?

    Sloan would have this information.

They have reports from 1972 (called Daily Car Reports) which would list the sales code count for each model. I believe the sunroof option is in the sales code '4' grouping (someone will correct me if I'm wrong).

You need to contact them and ask how many 4G37V models came with that sales code. The price is usually $5 per photocopied sheet. This information would probably be one sheet.

There was a guy a few years back at the Nationals who had a 72 Sun Coupe Stage 1...it was green, white top, and interior...and I believe he was from Knoxville, TN....
