Well, I seem to have misplaced the bracket that holds the accelerator cable to the manifold. It is a small bracket that bolts to the manifold right next to the carb. It was there when I took the car apart, but somehow it just is not showing up. If someone has one, please let me know as this might save me a bunch of time. 72 is different then 70. 73 might be the same but I do not have a part number book, just a service manual for both 70 and 72. The little tab that fits in the manifold is on the firewall side for 72 rather then the front on 70. And I thought I did a good job of labeling and storing everything!!!

    Thanks,

Yes the big bracket is the one I need. I have the others but will do it either way you prefer as I just do not want to hold my resto up. Are they the correct finish or should they be natural or black?? I thought the ones I took off were natural?

    Address needed.

Took these off a 71 350 and they were painted. I beadblasted and painted these myself but you can do what you like if your interested.

350 is different than the 455, so I guess they will not work. :Do No: I also think the 71 is different then the 72 as it looks just like the 70. Thanks for looking!

I think I have one of those--I have a 72 Stge 1 with the original bracket and I will compare it tonight. Will be back tomorrow with results. Probably won't have pic but I will give you an exact description and guarantee that it will be correct. Patton

Found it---correct bracket--same as the one on my 72 Stage 1 which is original--$25 shipped. I can beadblast and/or paint it if you want also. It is not pitted, etc but these were originally clear (silver) zinc plated and the plating deteriorates over time. Also--if you know anyone going to the Buick event in Noble this coming weekend I can give it to them at the event. Let me know. Thnx, Patton

    Patton,

I truly appreciate your response. I did just tonight get the bracket from one of our local Buick guys. Thanks, Mike

    Patton,

If you still have the bracket, I'll take it.

Please let me know either way? Thanks!
