I got my 72 Custom from Streetside in Dallas. I actually had a decent experience. I didn't look at the car in person, but I found a pre-buy inspection shop in the Dallas area. The guy that did the inspection was great... Very thorough and took a ton of pictures. Definitely uncovered some things that were not disclosed in the add. Was able to negotiate on those issues and get the price down to where I was happy. I don't know if Streetside is exclusively a consignment shop or if they buy/sell, but mine was on consignment, so everything went thru the dealer to the owner for negotiations. At the end of the day I would NOT have been satisfied with the original price with the issues the pre-buy inspection found. Moral of the story is never buy site unseen or inspected. It's on you to do your due diligence.
