There has been interest and currently working to line up a time for a viewing after the July 4 holidays. I'm confident this nice car will find a home, just has to be the right car for the right person. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks, Steve
beautiful ride!! the price is more that fair. I know that money is tight, but I wish u luck in selling the car. ---------- Post added at 08:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:51 PM ---------- I believe that the car should have come with F41 suspension - heavy duty sway bars, shocks, upper and boxed lower rear control arms and the small 3rd pair of control arms.
F41 Rally suspension ( boxed lower rear control arms with rear sway bar) was OPTIONAL on all GS cars big or small block, stick or automatic from 1968-1972. The only 1968-72 Buick A body to ever have F41 Rally Suspension standard was a 1970 GSX. This 72 GS Stage 1 4 speed is correct. As a side note, all 68 -72 GS cars had a small triangulating brace from front of lower control arm to front upper control arm frame mount as part of GS option.
Thanks Richard. I've been staring at the build sheet and was not able to identify the F41 option. Your comments verify why that was the case. Obviously, everyone wants to be certain that these cars are both correct and legit - myself included. I do appreciate all of the input from Forum members and the occasional questions about what folks see in photos, etc.. That's why the Forum is so useful. In any case, I appreciate the clarification for my benefit and the benefit of others. Steve
Update. Sale in process. Car will have a nice new home. Thanks to all for your help and advice these past five years. No better forum out there, period. Steve
Car left for its new home on Sunday. Not at all easy to see it leave, but it has gone to a true Buick guy and will be well cared for. Again, many thanks to all who helped me learn to speak "Buick" . It was a dream to own a Stage 1 and the bucket list is one car shorter now. Steve
I believe so ( no secrets requested, anyway). It's going to live in New Hampshire. Very good new home and I know it will be well cared for and enjoyed. On to the next challenge........... 911 Carrera. This will be interesting! Steve
