Replacing all the rear control arm bushings in my 71 Skylark, 350 10 bolt posi.

Made pretty good progress until I am to the point of installing the driver's side, upper control arm bushing- in the differential.

None of the loan a tool programs I have checked on have the correct "receiver" .

Any of you Buick lovers who have done this know what I mean.....The pumpkin is off center, and any "receiver sleeve" that I can find in the press kits are all too thick.

I have the bushing pressed in place but it still needs to go about 1/4 further.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I'll probably never use it again.

I'm going to check with my engine builder tomorrow......I hope he has one.

I have that tool. If worse comes to worse, I will ship it to you as a loaner and you can ship it back when you are done.

    Thanks Guys!
Especially to The Wizard! That is one trusting Buick Lover! I would have taken you up on the offer but my builder made a jig, or, rig. What ever you wanna call it.
He cut about an inch out of an old bearing race and supplied a piece of 1/4 plate- That, along with the C-clamp from the O'Reilly's ball joint press, drove the bushing home.

    Thanks Again.
