Wow, really nice! I don't even really want to buy anymore cars, but I would never have been able to walk away from that one. Here's something interesting to note on that car. It's a very low, mostly unmolested car. Look at the front retractors, that is the way they should go. If I look at pictures of 1,000 cars a year, maybe only 20 will have the retractors right.

I agree. That car is the real deal for sure. No wonder it went quick.

I would love to have a beautiful non-woodgrain dash cluster like that. Hard to tell but even the batwing steering wheel looks nice.

Is it just me or does the left fender look to have been repainted?

I was watching "My Classic Car" once, and that guy who owns NPD was letting Dennis Gage drive one of his original Rivieras, and I noticed that the front clip didn't quite match the rest of the body, although he said it was an original paint car. Did Fisher Body paint the body separately from the front clip?

Yes. Fisher painted the bodies and Buick final assembly painted the dog houses in the final assembly plant. Very, very common to see a shade or two difference in paint on an original paint car.

Both sides of the car had been repainted in some cases more than once. The only original paint was the trunk lid and hood.

I noticed the paint, and the fit of the driver door, and the extra screw in the door panel, and...what I really noticed was the picture of the front from dead-on. Go back and look at that picture again. You see how the fenders match up with the hood, how the bumper sits, how the grille and headlight bezels line up? I've seen over $100,000 Buicks that don't line up like that. That's a "money shot". Most people take pics to hide stuff, at angles where you can't tell if the car is straight or not. I know it's not show quality, but it's still a low mile car. I just like that it's original, like the vinyl top seams lining up with the body seams. Bear in mind it probably sold for 1500. less or so.

I love the car, just letting you all know it was factually repainted on both sides.

It's not just the tops of the NOS fenders that are screwed up. They have to come totally apart to "fix" them and it takes a lot of patience but any car can look like that.

I know Dano, I had to have both my NOS fenders done.
