I think my fluid level may be low in my topmotors as it is very slow and sometimes needs help getting it up. What is th eright fluid to use and the best method for filling them. Thanks, John
Fisher body naual suggests atuo trans fluid. There is also a procedure for filling in the Fisher manual. I listed it here before. It involves making a fitting for the pump filler hole attaching a hose and placing other end in trans bottle and operating top up and down until filled. Do a search and you may find complete directions. Place towels or have mess.
Before you add fluid....remove the lower back seat cushion and see if you have tranny fluid on the floor....if so, you have a leak in a line and/or cylinder.
