I must be blind, or need to stop beer. I was almost sure I had seen a pic of your new car's ass with the mouldings....I will look again. :Dou:

So Adam, time to pick your brain a little. What is the best way/ place to sell off my spare 72 lesabre, centurian stuff? Is it on this board, the BCA or ? I have some bezels, trim, front bumper, wheels, etc left over from the burn car. This is the first B-Body I have done in a long time, and am not that familiar with them. Where do you buy parts for these? Do you just buy Impala stuff and modify it or does someone specialize in them. Thanks Tony

What kinds of stuff are you wanting to buy for these cars? Used parts are fairly readily available, due to an abundance of them still being circulated. I'm not sure about Impala parts, but there may be a few panels like floor pans that may be modified to fit.

As far as selling the parts you have, eBay would probably be the best bet. Either that, or this board. The BCA board isn;t a bad idea, either.

I need alot of the routine stuff. Carpet, weatherstrip, rubber bumper set, seat belts, etc. Pretty much normal wear items. I have been looking for a rear sway bar, and think I will have to go aftermarket to find one. I have a call into hotchkis tech about springs that would give a little more aggressive ride height, and they were trying to see what would work. Just setting the drop top up a little different than normal. Thanks Tony

You can get all the rubber stuff from www.steelerubber.com (except the bumper rubbers. Those must be from a donor.)

Adam, You've got to fill us on on the new car! What's the story behind your recent find? Where did you find it, who used to have it, how long did it take you to work out a deal.......etc...you know the nitty gritty!!! :TU: :3gears:

Why no headers, just for the original looks, or some other reason? Alu heads iif you're going for the 13's or a head transplant  from the white one to get the stage 1's on the coupe?

Sounds nice... Not my business but I can't help to ask, how do you afford it? 2k$ for a set of heads is a step up from a 2.8k$ Centurion a few years ago?

Man, I have to get myself a proper job.. I guess I'm just cheap, and I like everything cheap all the time..

I still think about how someone here locally advertised a 455 with stage 3 parts on it and it had the stage one heads and it was only 600$ for the whole thing. He said it was too wild for the street and had been put on the stand, and he was selling off his Buick parts.... But a de-tune would have made it real nice I bet :Dou: :Dou: :Dou:

The $2800 Convertible turned into a $13k money pit in about a year's time. I'll never recover that money! UGH!!

I'm going to be smart about how I spend money on my cars from now on. (yeah...right) but at least I will think about it when I plop down big bucks for certain things.

that's what I'm worried about with mine.. I looked at the site that sells all the weatherstripping and it is like 650$ for a complete set  for the convertible, and that is way much $ for me to put into my 2k$ car. All the $ I've made from selling those rallye rims have gone to rent etc., so I can't even put the money I make from the yard runs back into the car again. I just scored a set of really nice rust free doors with nice windows and motors, hinges and all for 40$ for both. So I've got all I need to start on my body work. The inner fenders are already painted and on a shelf in the garage, and fenders, hood, and doors are next to be sanded. It's like with candy, the less you eat of it, the longer it lasts  sorry for the ot.. I wish you all the best with your new ride :TU: , and there is a 2d. 73 lesabre/centurion coupe living just a block away from me in a similar color as yours. It's almost always garaged but once every six months or so it's out on the street, I'll try to get a picture of it for you.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard, (or said) that, I'd be bidding on the Motion GSX right now.

That's like saying "I'm only going out for ONE beer"

Wow. I've been off the board too long. Congrats on the new purchase Adam. :TU: :beer Looks like an awesome starting point but it is still missing two fins and two doors. :Brow:  I want a race in Salem '07. :bglasses:  :3gears:

    You'll get a race!

I've had my eye on this car for too long to pass it up now. Retiring the convertible and moving into a sleek hardtop:beer

Going with something a little bit milder..that was is pretty radical.

Now that you're back in black after selling a substantial amount of rides lately, what else is on the Christmas list for the new one?
