Hi V8 Buick.com users, My name is Bob and I am new to this site. I currently own a 1966 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop with the Wildcat 375 engine, bucket seats with console. I am looking at maybe buying a 1971 2 door Skylark. The car is in need of restoration. The fenders are very bad and the doors are beat up. The grill is made out of plastic and is broken up. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what year parts will fit on this car. Even better maybe someone that has the parts I might need can let me know the cost. I noticed someone with a 1972 metal grill for sale will that fit. My 1966 Skylark is not complete. I have most of the parts that I need. The parts that I did find were very expensive. This is why I am asking before I buy the 1971 Skylark. I don't want to buy this car and pay as much for parts as I did for the '66. I have been working on the '66 for 5 years. 71 & 72 Interchange Bob, I'm the one with the `72 Metal grill.It will fit your `71,but you'll have use `72 headlight bezels and `72 hood nose piece for it to look correct.Probaly be better to find a `71 skylark grill,but i have `72 bezels and a fair nose piece if you want to go that route.I may even do some trading.
