The key word here is core. Does not need to be posi or clean or even together. I am always looking for good axles and housings for rebuilds. Hi, I know of a junkyard that has several of the 71-72 Buick/Olds 8.5 bolt in axle rearends. He gets $100 per rear end. Thats me pulling them out also. Shipping would probaly be insane though??

rear end i have an 8.5 out of a 71 skylark custom 350-4/ th-350. complete. $200 + shipping.. i can have Rac ship the rearend if you dont have a way to get it
I have a 1970 8.2 rearend. Complete with e-brake cables and brakes. Came out of a running car. STill works fine. $75 picked up.
core rears I do hank all of you for your responces... 200.00 is way too much for a core. 100.00 is ok but 50- 75 is where I would like to be at for cores. If they are still working good sell them to someone who needs a good one. I will totally disassemble and clean and posi them up. Shipping is not that bad for me I would like to get more than one at a time though. Jim

Dude Hey did you finally get that car Panited??? Looks good so far. I will take you up on that. Geez I still have the 3.08 pinion and your breaker bar and socket to return from when I set it up...lol SO SORRY. I got the window trim up looks real good and Heidi is REALLY happy it is finally done. :TU: Took the Monza out and 1.59 60ft then lost the belt (one time out this year and everything went wrong Van lost its belt the same day to the track. Should have stopped there...lol) It ran a 11.92 on a 4000 first and a 5000 second shift. should have been a 11. 50 run at least. Oh well Halloween classic will try again...Will set a time I am going to Canfield this weekend any chance you going? Jim
Well if you ever get down this way let me know and I will tell you where they are at. I went out there a few days ago and I counted 3 71-72 Skylarks and 6 or 7 71-72 Cutlasses still with the complete 8.5 rear ends in them. Later.

canfield On saturday, early. I had to meet a guy about deals in a yard they own rearend stuff. then off to Canfield. I will be picking up at least two rears from a guy there for sure.
