What will fit in the car? An impala 12 bolt?

    Hi Chris:

69 and 70 LeSabre/Wildcat/Electra are the same. If you're changing the entire rear, no other GM product will work. I've heard that some earlier years also fit our cars, but I can't confirm that.

I have a 12 bolt posi (10 bolts on the cover) from a 1970 Electra in my LeSabre, so I know that swap works.

I've been told, but yet to try, that a 12 bolt from a full size chevy will work...Impala, Caprice (or whatever, I don't know chevy's too well.) I can't really confirm that though, so take it with a grain of salt.

I hate to say it, but if your going for an entire new setup look into a ford 9". they are strong and readily available. :3gears:
