It's not likely for $24,500, but did you ask him whether it has the original SS block and BB tranny?

I spoke to the seller and he appears to be a dealer. Says he doesn't know if it's matching numbers and he's not very willing to look for any numbers or codes, which leads me to beleive it's probably not a real Stage car and he knows it. He wouldn't even take off the air cleaner to check the carb number.

He also claimed the car was bone stock with no mods but in the pics he sent me, you can clearly see headers, a stinger box and the intake looks like an aftermarket unit painted red. I specifically asked him if it had the original exhaust manifolds and he said that it did, so his credibility is out the window. It was originally blue, not triple black. Caveat emptor.

I would certainly approach with caution but if it is a real numbers Stage 1 it is a heck of a deal.

More info: Block decked, no numbers; carb not 7040246; distributor not 1112016; Edelbrock intake; headers; originally blue. If it seems too good to be true...
