Did any of you notice some things on the car?????

Looks like an almost concours resto but......

    1. Never seen white A-pillar post covers on ANY A-body model....they don't exist as far as I know

    2. Has front GSX spoiler

    3. Has 71-2 washer bottle

    4. Has evaporative emissions for 70 which is correct for Calif cars

    5. Has painted alt pulley

    6. Missing upper rad hose hook

    7. Black painted license plate...they are a silver/galvanized look

    8. Has 71-2 fan shroud

    9. Has 72 AC thermal limiter fuse

    10. Has painted TH400 dipstick handle

    11. Has TH350 trans x-mbr

Other than a few minor items....looks fantastic!

    Reminds me of JKC's prototype.

The California emissions required the washer bottle on the '70 model to be moved from the inner fender and mounted on the fender which was later used on on all 71-72 models. This aspect of the car is correct.

Cool car, I'd love to own it.

George, our Diplomat blue 70 stage with the Pearl interior had the while pillar post covers.

    I have a friend with a 70 Diplomat/Pearl 455 car the same way.

Looks like Juan's (COMPTA) old car that he had for sale on the board here about a year ago, and it has had quite a bit of work done to it since to restore it.

I wonder if the white A-pillar covers disappeared in Jan 70....to coincide with the disappearance with the pointed lenses which had a glare issue.

I can only imagine what kind of glare/reflection you would have with white A-pillar post covers.

Looks like the owners who have white ones are 70 models only......hmmm....wonder if GM/Buick made a change?

Nice car, but does that nice paint look orange to anyone else?

One of our '72 Buicks has a white interior and the pillar posts are metal, painted black. The car is unrestored. For what it is worth, a '69 Chevelle with a white interior had white pillar posts.

    Randy,
I would do it except it is not in my area. I am the Tampa Bay area
and the car is in the Ft Laurderdale/Miami area.

I would suggest you contact Jim Haas Buick528@aol.com

He is the only one I know that lives in the Miami area.

I believe that the white A pillar covers and headliner are correct for an early '70 GS. I would drive it! :bglasses:
