Looks like Bob Lindquist won't be bringing the frame off concours restored 1970 STAGE 1 Convertible we recently completed for him to the Nationals after all. He plans to sell the car. So maybe someone will buy it and bring it one day. Here are a few pics. Since it won't be in BG.

THANKS !! Bob Lindquist is a lucky man !! He owns TWO concours restored STAGE 1 Convertibles. Also has a 1971 STAGE 1 Convertible that we restored for him that is on the cover of Hemmings Muscle Machines March 2012 issue. I will see if I can come up with some pictures of it. Here are a couple more of the 70 Burnished Saddle STAGE 1 Convertible. Bob please bring it to BG. So folks can see it. Pictures don't do the car justice. Maybe someone will buy it from Bob and bring it one day !! ?

Seems crazy to get a car to that point and sell it but I'm sure people have their reasons and I guess when freshly restored (& in this market!) is the best chance of recouping the $.

Should have taken those pictures in the sun, that color looks so much better that way.

I can only commend Bob Lindquist for his efforts to restore these cars. And that is his passion. To save and preserve them. It's not about making any money. When he sells them, the proceeds will get another project and restore it. Next one will probably be a GSX. So, in some respects that's a positive perspective. Someone buys it, another BUICK will get restored. The downside is that all of these cars that we restore end up in the hands of high rollers. Tucked away in collections. Never to be seen again? That will probably happen with this one too. That is why I wish the cars would be brought to the Nationals to be seen and enjoyed before that happens. I agree regarding pictures. Better conditions needed. More sun light and a different background would make for much better pictures. And that is why I will say that these pictures don't do the car justice.

Stunning. I would like to see it in person but I can tell it is a quality restoration. Neat car. That color looks good when it’s fresh.
