Wow, all it needs is a quick detail, and a high quality battery topper! Somebody call crashKlein, will ya'?
Bayonet stick. Maybe non-stage 1 fuel pump and fuel line. 3.42 rear for a non AC car would be non standard. Posting the POP and the trans VIN would help.
As noted above it does look a big car 70 SF donor block. It would be interesting to see the partial VIN on the block deck.
It's shown Jim. Matches the transmission and what was given in the description as the VIN. Haven't we all seen a block that was mis-stamped by the factory? They were not building show cars...
He isn't saying that it has a numbers matching engine, but he should change his ad from "SR" to "SF", not that it makes much difference, since it isn't the correct engine either way.
Would need Wayne Roberts- as it is out of the Sloan window..... Looks "fairly" clean.. I am quite surprised by the battery tray area/ inner fender. Sport mirrors, console, tilt, 16" steering wheel, sport suspension, disc brakes... Original 246 carb, BB trans, hopefully correct distributor, 3.42 posi. Be nice to see the data plate to get the color combination- if it was white/white/white... I like it!
The sport mirrors have been added as they were only available on a GSX in 1970 and a 1970 Stage 1 without A/C should have a 3.64 gear, not a 3.42. So there are a few things besides the engine block that have been changed over the years. Having the BB transmission and the correct Stage 1 carb are a big plus. It would be cool to see the Wayne Roberts documents for this car. I suspect this car will be sold very soon.
I won't be surprised if this guy just came across this car An is selling it and he figured it was a 342 gear "has no clue that you could've had a 364 gear ON code back in 70. No mention about the distributor.
