Hello All! I recently bought a 70 Buick Skylark 350 Hardtop. I am in need of a rear bumper. I also am not opposed to converting the rear bumper to another year (even tho I would rather not) Will they interchange with 71 and 72? Thanks to All! Angela in TN
Yes and No Angela, there might be other issues but swapping bumpers requires the matching transplant bumper brackets $75 to $150 alone for rear set (depending on how patient you are). Then the fuel necks are at different angles for different years and if you change the gas tank out for the inexpensive ones on eBay you have to make sure you have the fuel line,vapor return and charcoal canister (later 71’s & 72’s) system figured out. I still haven’t figured that part out (probably simple but so am I lol) because I want to do the same thing as you. Brackets & fuel neck angle first though. I am sure if you do a search the topic will come up, I haven’t looked because just want my motor running at this point and bumper is on the back burner ; )
