Hi Guys'n Gals! This car is number 4 of 7 I am selling for a local collector. It is NOT a Stage 1, however, it sports the original numbers 455 "SF" code motor, (it runs, but ruff) correct 7040247 carb, car is loaded with a/c, power windows, power bucket seat, tilt, console and shifter....the bumpers, stainless trim and other parts were removed at one time in an attempt to restore the car. These removed parts, ARE ALL IN HIS STORAGE..so he tells me. I have seen the front bumper and some parts, valance, grilles and the console is in the car and I'm sure, I will have to dig thru his warehouse to find the other stuff. This car is now sitting outside and I can see the quarters show signs of filler, the floors are rusted thru in spots...he couldnt find the trunk keys so I am sorry but I cannot give any details about the trunk floor OR what is in the trunk at this time>?. I dont know if the car has posi or not. This would be a very decent restoration project car...its tooo good and complete for just a parts only car....I have heard it run, but have not actually seen it move under its own power...I was TOLD it should run long enuf to load/unload for transportation purposes BUT NOTE, the brakes are non-existant. He is asking just $3400 and reasonable offers will be considered. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
ok, so 120 lookers without a single comment? TALK TO ME....is the asking price fair? or too high? Is this an undesirable ONE-YEAR-ONLY Riviera? or WHAT? Feedback people....FEEDBACK! ou: I cannot list his 66 Wildcat until I sell this Riviera...so PASS IT ON! ray: ThanX for looking! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Wheelz, To be perfect honest these cars are not very desirable. The body looks pretty rough need floors and some work around the rear window. I bought a 70 in a little rougher condition for $200 it was not a GS. I kept the engine and sold the rest to a guy for $150. Because it is a gs center console posi maybe worth $1K as it sits in my opinion.
I didn't spot this ad until just now. I'm afraid I have to agree with Van. Maybe a little more than $1k since it is a GS, but if the floors are rusted, I can guarantee there is more rust hiding in those rear quarters above the fender skirts. I know from reading your past ads that you are not the one setting prices, and I do believe the seller is sincere, but think $3400.00 is unrealistic. The parts are worth more than the whole. Sorry man.
ThanX Guys! I will communicate your feedback with the owner and discuss a more realistic plan. :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
SERIOUSLY REDUCED for a serious buyer and a serious sale. You know what his original price was, now all reasonable offers will be considered. SOME delivery assistance in the southern states is offered by me, if it will help the sale. BRING ON THE OFFERS!!! :beers2: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
you need to give this "collector" a reality check. if you dont want to,pm me his phone number, ill do it. ill be gentle.
I thought '70 was the first year that the Stage 1 package was a factory installed option on the Riviera. Previously, it was dealer installed.
No Stage 1 Rivs in 1970. Some people have said they were lucky and found big valve heads in their 70 GS Riv but I have never personally seen one.
ok now. I'm gonna make A REAL DEAL move here....YOU CAN KEEP the .26! How about a flat $1785. uzzled: ou: :moonu: :beers2: :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Knock the 1 off the front and that's still more than I paid for the other '70 Riv GS I got from you.:TU: BTW, I did get the motor running before I pulled it. It actually ran pretty well. The tranny was good too.
