    tubecatgs Finally a 4 speed......

So I did my front buckets last year and finally getting around to doing my rear seat.... I can't find a video specific to 1970 GS rear seat upholstery... my car is a72 Skykark Custom convertible and just like the 70 interior way better. Seat covers are PUI and do not have any piping or slots for piping to slide into....

When I did the front buckets I slotted foams and customized the foams (I think I followed Brett Slater's post) to hog ring the curved part to the springs to give it like a 3 dimensional look. The fronts did have a slot for piping along the upside "U" section on top back and straight section on bottom. Front's were also PUI.

    1) I can't seem to find any pictures that show the rear seat recessed a bit... do you do like the fronts?

    2) I haven't tore the the rear upper yet but it looks like the bottom uses the foam and the upper uses the fluffy white stuff and no foam?

I am literally just about to stretch the cover and hog ring the back side of the bottom and paused to write this so any other tips, pics or videos would be helpful..

A few random pics so you know what I mean about the recess/ 3D look. (Bucket seat pic I borrowed from ebay, too lazy to go take a pic if mine)

I’ve heard legendary is way better than pUi. You can only use what you can get and don’t worry about it. None are exact
