I really don't care for the car as I would use it. I love it as museum car.

    docgsx It's not a GTX

It’s really like any other piece of art. It will be owned by whoever wants to invest at the time of sale. I think it’s great. It’s being preserved and it should be.

Yea, and I thought this guy that bought it back last winter was gonna replace it with white again, it makes the car if you ask me.

Prototype isn't the correct term for it anyway.

I liked it a LOT better when J.C. (“Collector “) owned it!:(

To coin a term ………..”That carpet is like a turd in the punch bowl”.

Something so unique & so simple to leave alone but……..No.
“100% of its original sheet metal, clear glass, white interior“. Not getting anywhere near 100% on the interior without the white front mats or especially the Interior/Trim Divisions one off white carpet. Misleading but………..o_O

I know……not a deal breaker but still huge IMHO.
    Extremely unique car nevertheless.

Prototype, noun - a first, typical or preliminary model of something, especially a machine, from which other forms are developed or copied.

Yep. This car was pulled off the production line and outfitted with the special show car colors. It is undoubtedly a factory built one of one car, but it is/was not any kind of precursor to the GS or some sort of test mule. Calling it a prototype is a misrepresentation in my opinion.

Why must you feel the need to turn so many posts into a debate?

Well,as long as there is no reserve and despite the interior “situation “ I guess I will try and pick this one up and enjoy it.
    I WISH!

John, you might as well...I can see you in hammer mode with the smoke blowing out the back just as you hit second gear and start to go sideways. Let her eat!!

I agree with you. I NEVER called mine a "Prototype" as it really is a Factory Show Car. Richard Lassetter started calling it "Prototype" back in 1981 when we all started meeting up in Bowling Green. This is no more a prototype than mine.
