Is the seller "gs455buick" a board member? Whoever it is has some cool, RARE stuff...look at the other auction!

All these goodies have only been listed for a couple hours, at best, and they all add up to close to $1300.00, still with 7 days left!!!! WOW!!!!!!

By the time these auctions are done, there will be enough loot fund a good portion of a restoration!!!!! :eek2: :eek2:

    Brian wasn't MY 1st guess....

I thought it was the guy with the attic FULL of mostly 70 NOS parts. I think the bidding was as high as $7,000, but never reached the reserve. Seller said he would keep them for another 20yrs.:Dou: :stmad:

    I don't think it is Brian.:Do No:

I think it's 100% without a doubt Brians auctions. Or whoever Brian sold his rims to, is using Brians pictures and lives in the same area.
    :gt:

Anyone wanna bet that one "radiant asphalt" gets those rims??
LOL might as well give up now. :Dou:

    Good Stuff....

    Hi Brett and company,

The above quote was exactly what I had been hoping for but as usual, the boss advises me we have some major bills coming due. :Dou: [not to change the subject but have any of you experienced drastic insurance increases like we have?]

I thought I would test the waters with an ad on V8Buick for the WG wheels, but the response was poor to say the least. Only one inquiry from this site, who then became preoccupied with getting another car after asking me about the ad. I also responded to a wanted ad on V8 for a fan shroud and offered it up at what I thought was a lot of money, but none the less a fair deal discount considering todays prices. He and about four other individuals who quickly emailed me after they saw my pm to him, all seemed to think my price a bit steep. So the bottom line is that I wasn't getting the action I had hoped for, and moved onto the eBay site. Please do not scorn me for doing so.....

Some of this stuff I have sat on for many years but I am not the "fire" sale eBayer that wanted to sell a lump of parts. Sometime back I decided '70-'72 cars are overpriced and their replacement parts beyond reason. Since then I have "down-graded" to both '69 and '73 cars that need work. [read time and lots of money] As I recently said on this site, I would love to simply give this stuff away but I am a blue collar, single wage earner with four mouths to feed besides my own ugly mug. My wife and I sacrificed a lot to buy and sell Buick parts in the past. For example, when I spent "X" dollars on a Buick name plate in 1989, we had two car loans out, one for 16% and I think the signature loan on my GSX was 24%. So I was spending money on Buicks when, quite frankly, I should not have been. That having been said, I simply owe it to my wife to give a decent return on this junk as I have long promised her.

It is a catch 22, years of GSing have led to wonderful friendships and aquaintances, but in this small Buick world these same people eventually become business to you too. These auctions are all no reserve and shipping paid by me. I really can't do much better than that guys and gals. Several of you have emailed me this evening wanting to open doors for a deal. I understand that yearn for parts can be overwhelming but I have placed them on a well known site for maximum coverage and hope that you can both respect my decision and still eagerly participate in the purchase of some of the parts. Please do not :blast: me...I greatly admire and enjoy your company on this web site. It is the best!

    Brian,

More power to you!! Good luck...you've got some nice stuff there. I'm hoping to finish corralling all I need for my car before the day comes when my "boss" advises me we have some bills coming up....

Nothing wrong with getting fair market value. A lot of people loathe eBay but in reality, it seems the place to go to find what you need....

Best of luck with the auctions....

I agree, it seems a lot of people on this board are looking to get hard to find parts at less than market value and are quick to criticize people who list parts here for fair market prices. Whats fair is fair. Don't get me wrong there are plenty of price gougers floating around as well.

    For a grand total of...

    3052.61 ....nice take Brian!

Oddly enough the overflow jug sold for half of what they were selling for a while back...who'd thunk???

The bumper plates aren't repr'd yet. YO was working them but never released them. Not sure if there still working on them or not.

YO shows them as part no. Y346 for Black and Y344 for Argent. Maybe they were "testing the market"
