Glad you sold it but it's ashame it going overseas. That's the third muscle car I have heard of in the past two weeks going overseas. Two are GS's and one 68 or 69 Firebird Trans Am.
That is the result of weak dollar. With the value of most foreign currencies so high in relation to that of US currency, we will likely see this happen more and more. I hate to say it, but we need an increase in interest rates. Congrats on the sale. Looks like a nice car.
It's going to Auckland,New Zealand. The Buicks are the nicest of the A body cars, but you can't sell them!! That's the reason I'm going back to Mustangs!!!!!!!!
American cars have a big following down here in NZ, we have no other choice but to import the cars to take part in the hobby. We are only a small country of 4 million people but we are very passionate about our American cars. It is not cheap for us in NZ to import a car from the US, a US$30,000 car ends up costing over $50,000 NZ dollars. Australia is much better off than us with their exchange rate close to dollar for dollar with the US$ The cars are very well cared for and looked after down here with a strong car club scene and some very good car events and shows. Be assured that these cars will not end up in a crusher or be cut up and junked. John
When you have a car for sale you sell it to the person with the green!!! The Buick folks in here are the BEST at helping a novice like me,and I have appreciated it!!!!!!!!! I sold my 7040246 70 Stage1 carb to a fellow Buick member so I will say goodbye to everyone.
i have to admit i love buicks, but i would probobly give up my regal and the gs for an orbit orange 70 judge like the one in the picture. i wanted one of those since i was a little kid.
