This is a very complicated issue, and that is why you have not gotten many answers. I don't profess to know everything about it, but will discuss what I do know. The GS was built in four different plants in 1970. Flint MI, Frammingham MA, Leeds MO, and Fremont CA. Each of these plants had a Fisher body assembly plant. Body numbers at each plant began at #000001. Body numbers were not specific to a car series, but were specific to the individual Fisher body plant. So if the first body built at the Fremont plant in the 1970 model year was an Electra or a Wildcat, or a Skylark etc, it would recieve body number BF 000001.

The Flint plant was a different animal though. Fisher Body at Flint reserved the first few thousand body numbers for SCO cars. These were cars that were ordered with non-standard paint colors, or other modifications that were not considered standard. There are a couple of Flint built 1970 GS cars that I am aware of that have SCO paint. One is painted Chrysler Plum Crazy Purple, has SCO-002 as the paint code, and has body number FL1 001171, built second week of December 1969. The second is painted Opel Rallye Orange, has SCO-433 as the paint code, and has body number FL1 001407, built the third week of February 1970. The lowest body number that I have been able to identify on a "standard" Flint built GS455 is FL1 013493. This particular car was built the second week of August 1969, very early in the 1970 model year.

As far as I know, the satellite plants did not reserve the lower numbers for special orders. There were a total of 24 1970 GS cars built in the satellite plants with SCO paint.

You do have a very early car, and as there were only 885 GS455 cars built at the Fremont plant in the 1970 model year, yours is likely one of the first.

As an aside, please sign your posts with at least your first name. We are a friendly bunch here, and there is little reason to be anonymous.

    Hector.

It may be possible to find this information by researching the daily car reports at the Sloan museum. This would certainly be a time consuming venture though.

    Hector,

Sloan Museum has microfilm with all 1970 Buick built in Freemont. The microfilm is arranged by VIN. You could have them count the total number of cars that start with M4637 or 44637 up to your car. In the microfilm cars sent out of the country were given an M as the first digit. My guess is being one of the first 300+ cars your car would most likely be within the first 10 or so but most likely not the first. I believe they made at least on of each model on the line very early as a test run or at least it looked that way when I reviewed the microfilm a couple years ago. They can also do a VIN research on your car for $50.00 (looks like it goes to $75 on July 1) and it will tell you all the options that came on your car originally and the dealer it was sold to originally.
