1970 GS Bumpers

I’m looking for front and rear bumpers for my 1970 GS455. I’m looking for some decent cores or some ready to install.

 

Are you going to the Nationals? I have a rechromed front I'd sell but don't really want to ship it.

 

I’m planning on going to the Nationals. I’m checking with a local chrome shop and see if mine are repairable . What are you asking for the front bumper?

 

Can I make a suggestion check the fit of the bumpers on your car before you send them out to be chromed.

 

$1050 but if your core is decent, $900 w/trade-in. I could also take yours (rear or both) & return them fixed/re-chromed next year (or ship them to you sooner) for about $900 ea. assuming the cores are useable & depending upon how much work the cores require. See what they want locally & what they think of your cores. The place I use is very good @ fixing them.

 

I will definitely want to check how it fits after repairs are done. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

That's cheap, Dano. Cores are impossible to find anymore and the rechrome process is very expensive and wait time has gone way up too.

 

Dano, are you saying that you have fresh chrome front and rears that you want to sell?

 

Right now I have a few fronts & one rear but I think I'd like to hang onto the rear although I do have a couple more at the plater so...

If anyone is interested in bringing cores to BG, I can take them & either ship the re-chromed parts or bring them next year. I'd also be interested in buying any decent cores.

 

It's running about 16 weeks and this is the most reasonably priced place remaining. I've thus far been very pleased with the results as have the people I've had them done for.

I've dropped my cores off to get an estimate. The owner was out of town on Friday I will let you'll know what kind of pricing I get.

 

Dano's chrome guy is good. They straightened a badly bent LeSabre rear for me.

Yes. My concern is Sandy is still the one straightening them. He's been doing that for 60+ years but is 85 y/o. He's training someone but... I'm taking them enough to get a discount & so between that & someone having to take or ship them, it's about the same price if through me & hopefully a lot more convenient.
