I had an orange 72 GS-350 in about the same condition.........I use to BAAHAAAAH!!!! That thing sideways wide open Quadrajet through our back fields, power slide it,do bootlegs and donuts in that thing when I needed a smile. Wish I still had that lil bomber....it EVEN had a cut down half way column shift auto lever COMPLETE with a threaded on Hurst T-Handle on the end. CLASSY! So ugly I had tuh luv it lmao
That's what I'm talking about Fritzee! I'm going to give him a call tomorrow after the friday night hangover wears off, just to see. I got a buddy down in San Antonio that can check it out and make sure it runs alright. He's going to have to drop his price to make up for shipping, I wouldn't pay $5500 for it which is about what it'll figure out to be after it got here.
Good luck with your hunt,Lucas! Hope the guy is good and hungover & just wants to do a good fast deal! If he needs a lil push in caving in,make sure to be where he has to watch while you eat sardines or anchovies with spray on whip cream before eating. I am stone sober (currently!) and makes me wanna wretch thinking about it lol He will cave
I’m not thinking it’s really that bad of a deal. At least it’s not a bondo bucket. You know what you got. Not everyone can have a 30k car. Just my opinion
I love it too, lots of fun left in that thing if you are happy with just having something Buick GS! Hope Lucas or one of the guys gets it and shows us how still having fun is done! : )
Got off the phone with the owner. He didn't quite seem to "get" what I was after and didn't understand when I asked repeatedly "So, what does it need to just drive?" He kept telling me it needed fender patches and quarters before I put it on the road. And I should put Buick wheels back on it, because the slots are nice shape but wrong for the car. No rust through anywhere other then the fenders and quarters, including the top as the vinyl was pulled years ago. Floors super solid, which is what he's trying to show in the photos there. I could tell he definitely wants it to go somewhere to get restored.... Anyway, super nice guy. Car is numbers matching except for a 12 bolt posi out of a Chevelle. Says the car purrs like a kitty after pouring a little fuel down the carb everytime. Quadrajet carb, supposedly the right one. Shifts good, drives great. But, he's solid on the price. He got it out of Ohio with the intention to restore a few months ago. Has the $3950 into it, so I told him that's about what it's worth but I have to add shipping in, even if I find a guy for $500. And if it was right down the street I wouldn't pay $4500 for it. Seriously sounds like a good car waiting for someone to take it over.
I agree 100% we been giving it hell in good fun for anyone that didn't catch on but this is legitimately a good purchase imo
