1970 electra has 235 75 15s.what about bias

    ive heard recently that my 70 electra convertible MIGHT ride better on bias ply tires. has anyone gone back to bias ply from radials and can tell me the difference in ride and handling .,thanks marty

    Other than authenticity, I haven't heard anybody prefer bias ply to radials.

    I wouldnt put anything other than radials on any driver I own.
    I had bias ply that were about 24 months old on a 68 Impala I bought a few years back and put radials on it the next day. I also did new shocks, springs, and bushings all the way around followed up with an alignment. It seemed to ride/handle 100% better to me.

    Come to think of it, Ive only heard of them being the problem, not fixing it.

    Yes --One is terrible for ride and handling and the other is not.
