I'm in the midst of changing my 1970 Skylark to a GS "deluxe" interior, and while I currently have the headliner removed, among the tasks now pressing is the change from a dome light to courtesy lights. I see the orange & white line from the dome follows the window back to the trunk, presumably to a plug in a trunk/tail harness.

Question: does the courtesy light plug go into the same spot that the dome light currently is in? The Fisher Body manual and the Chassis service manual weren't very clear on this.

    Thanks,
    Matt

In my 70GS, the wire harness for the deluxe interior sail panel courtesy lights goes down and connects into the Intermediate harness in the back of the trunk. Just behind the back seat on driver side. The wires were orange and white (I believe). One pair runs up above the driver side rear wheel house up into the sail area and the second pair runs along the top edge of the trunk under the package tray area over to the passenger side and then runs up the passenger rear wheel well.
