1970 Buick wildcat interior issues

    Hello,
I'm in the process of restoring my 1970 Buick wildcat, it has a black interior with bucket seats and power windows, I have a few questions,
    1. Car was missing seatbelts, does anyone know where I can get them for a good price?
    2. Front defogger stopped working, heat only blows through front and bottom vents, doesn't switch to windshield vents in any position.
    3. Does anyone know where I can get new vinyl seats with the original "fake stitching" pattern? Half my seats are original the other is redone to match but aren't the same.
    4. Rear defogger stopped working, it got wet, is it repairable or do I need to replace motor? And which motor is right?

im new to this forum and I've had my car for over 2 years (was trying to sell but decided to keep and restore)

Seat belts can be had from jobbers online (they are close, but not right) or from anyone here on the board. Check the "parts for sale" listings. Salvage yards are good too.
The front defroster is activated by a vacuum/electric switch, what could have happened is either a diaphragm failed or the switch itself has quit. The 69 and 70 are essentially the same. You haven't specified if the car has AC or not. Either way, that heater set up is pretty complicated to troubleshoot, you're best off to find a service manual (chassis manual) for your car. They can be occasionally had on the board as well. If you hit the switch and you don't hear any hissing or diaphragms closing, then look to the vacuum source outside and work your way back, you could have a leak somewhere.
As for the seats, they're incredibly rare to begin with. You won't find another set. Go to a decent upholstery shop, they should be able to duplicate the pattern. It'll cost, but considering how rare buckets are in the 70 model, they're worth it.

As for the rear defroster, check the fuse, it probably popped when things got wet. If it isn't the fuse, the motor was pretty much standard throughout the GM lineup. Anything will work. Find a local salvage yard, they'll be able to set you up if they have some old stuff laying around.

And lastly, I'll save Erik the inevitable post; We're on a first name basis here, please post your name in the the signature bar. You can introduce yourself in "Wet behind the ears", and tell us a bit about yourself and your car. Welcome to V-8 Buick!

Thanks, going to buy the manual, hopefully I can tackle that vaccum issue, the car is an AC car, the seats are half original, you can tell by looking at it that someone tried to match sections of it, my passenger seat looks nice but my driver could use a bottom section. I'm going to also attempt to take apart that blower motor if not buy a new one once I look at which one I need, and as for seatbelts, my friend with a convertible Electra is giving me his, I just have to dye them black.
