If it looks as good in person as the pictures show, someone will get a smokin’ deal.

I just have to wonder if this is real or not. Seems cheep for a Stage 1 with A/C in that kind of condition

I see a few things but it’s worth that if it’s a numbers car. Sometimes these ads are scams as we all know

Its worth the money he is asking even if the numbers are NOT matching. Where can you buy a running driving GSX for 50k or less ?

What do you see? I am asking because I am interested in this car and I appreciate as much pre-screening data as I can get.

Yeah. He didn’t reply to email or voicemail. Hasn’t been registered since 2011 but has new plates and stickers. Description is lame. There are a few reasonable ones out there. I think one in Colorado was advertised for 45,000 or so. Not plentiful under 50k but they can be had

I wonder if the one in Rochester is one of the 3 or so that were at the Syracuse nationals.

I wasn’t there but I know of one sitting a short distance from Albany that the owner may sell. Not original motor or trans but was a 4 speed car. I know the first and second owners as well. I’m waiting patiently. They are out there.

No, this one isn’t. 2 out of the 3 “Q-Q’s” were not “real”. The owner of the “Q-Q” that was outside is/was a member here, and he is East of Syracuse and Rochester is West of Syracuse. The other “Q-Q” inside, besides the real one, has a different cowl tag. The real Q-Q is from south of Albany and is not this car. I’ve emailed the seller too.

I talked to the owner this morning. It has been confirmed that the engine is not original. Block was decked, but numbers on carb, distributor and engine, as well as the power steering pump "bracketry", indicate a 72 engine I think. He thinks the trans is original. He bought the car from a deceased relative. Truck was fueled, trailer hooked-up, and an eminent trip to Rochester was called off after the results of the phone call.

Looked it over this morning. Car has a 72 motor with NONE of the correct 70 engine components (carb, distributor, alternator, radiator, etc). Has BB transmission and rear looks untouched. Drives poorly, transmission shifts poorly. I’ll try to post pics of trouble spots. Many bubbles showing in lower parts of fenders & quarters, some rivets showing too (?). Tears in dash pad, interior tired (143k mikes maybe?) Its a 20 footer. AC is cold. 45 is too much, maybe 35 - needs a whole lot of love and new parts.

Hope these help guys! Owner is a real nice guy, seems like a straight shooter - a car guy ( has a bunch) ... but not a Buick guy.

You must have been looking at the car when I called. Thanks for saving me a disappointing trip.
