Wow brings back memories. I bought my very Tired 70 gs convertible 31 years ago and I wish it was that nice. 10 yr restoration that was a true labor of love but it's still still turning heads and geting thumbs up. Good luck with sale.
I saw this car 1:1 last weekend. It Is a project, But not as bad as it is/was described. Grill in place (w/Emblem is a 71) Colors are 48 (Sherwood Green) Sandalwood Interior (124) A/C, PS PB, Windows & locks. Has a Sport steering wheel. Recently Re chromed rear Bumper, Correct Head lamp Doors are there, zx is the lower grille cover (the metal part that attaches to lower grille & HL doors. Car Does need Pans & Trunk floor. (I believe Dave said he had them) Numbers appear Correct on Engine (couldn't see trans code for the TH400. & biggest problem is the right inner & outer rockers. I think it also has a "Speed minder". Car is Very similar to My 70 Convertible, that I sold in 2012. The Frame is a 69 from a Fremont convertible, w/New brake lines etc. & ready to go as a Driver quality Solid frame. I also have some pictures I took if there is an interest. I am already 85% through rebuilding my 66 Impala SS Convert, & 4 more months before I can even Think about another project. JR
Thanks - This is why I asked about the trim tag (what color was top orig?) - Figured it was prob. orig. Sherwood & not Seamist or someone had painted it & done a color change. I already have too many projects but sounds like a worthwhile one for someone.
Thanks for everyone's comments. I had great aspirations when I bought the GS but life and my wife's desire for a swimming pool have gotten in the way. Here are some photos of the trim tag and VIN.
Figured the top was black - Thanks. Great color combo overall. Life gets in the way of these things. If I didn't already have too many projects it's a super neat car... GLWS.
