This is a nice set of driver's side power bucket seats for the big Buicks (full-size). These are Tan in color and in great shape. These came out of a 1970 Buick Riviera. These are complete and ready to install or just recover with the color and pattern of your choice. $500 for the pair, plus actual shipping and packaging costs. These can be sent through Greyhound for a nominal fee if Greyhound bus is running, so please indicate your closest bus station when inquiring about this method of shipping. *****Please post on this thread first, otherwise PMs will be ignored and will proceed here in the order posted on this thread.****
Greyhound does not seem feasible at this time with COVID, so I am open to other methods of shipping these seats or having them picked up, in SoCal. Seats are boxed up and ready to go. You are up Blue Wagon, if you still have interest in these and are willing to pay the shipping costs. Mike has stepped out of line.
Never got a chance to check on cost as Greyhound was not practical for either of us, so Mike stepped out of line. Do you have anyone who could pick these up for you. How much are you willing to spend on shipping? PMs work better for this type of discussion if you are still interested. UPS, USPS, and FedEx will be much more costly.
Send me your zip code and I will check on shipping. Won’t have time during the week, but I will get back to you with something, as things are starting to open up more now. Thanks
When I ship bucket seats,I have three packages. I take the headrests and tracks off each seat, and pack each seat separate, with the upper back on the bottom. The bottom of the seat is facing up. I unbolt the tracks and place them in the cavity of the seat bottom,to make the box smaller,OR pack the tracks with the headrests,BUT you need to wrap everything carefully as to not damage the headrests. I see you have power bucket tracks. I would either leave those on or pack in a fourth box. I like to pack the headrests in a box by themselves, and make sure the posts are not pressing or poking the other headrest. I’m actually shipping another set like this in a week. You could also look into shipping them on a pallet through Fastenal. Right now,it’s a toss-up between Fastenal and FedEx ground.
When I shipped a set of seats from NY to FL, I built a wooden crate and bolted the seats to the bottom and shipped both seats together through Fastenal. The seats and crate weighed around 300 lbs, and the price of lumber is a factor now-a-days. When these seats were shipped to me from TPP, they were shipped fully-assembled, individually, in cardboard boxes with a lot of padding, through UPS. It doesn’t take a lot of work to remove the seat backs and ship in 4 smaller boxes.
