1970 backup light socket?

I have a 1970 and neither backup light worked until I put the correct bulbs in. I need to replace one socket as it's too corroded to keep a good connection.
Rock auto lists a 2 & 3 wire socket? Did they use both styles? Do you have to remove the bumper to get to them?

    Thanks,
    Kirk

It has to be the 2 wire socket. The back up bulb is a single contact. The 3 wire socket takes an 1157 bulb. You should be able to reach up and unplug it to work on it.

Thanks Larry I will try but looking from underneath it didn't look like I could get my hand in there.

Been a long time since I had to do that. Worse comes to worse, you might have to loosen the bumper brackets and pull the bumper out, but not remove it.

Got it replaced without (re)moving the bumper. I was able to pull the socket off by reaching over from the license plate area and dropped it down. It was tight but I managed to get a new 2 wire socket installed. Now I have all the lights working again.
