1970-72 Buick Skylark/GS/GSX speedometer with rare speed alert option. This unit is in very good condition. The lens is nice and will polish up beautifully. This is a "flat lens" unit that is correct for the mid-late 1970 cars as well as all 1971-72 cars. The high beam indicator is red.

$75 plus $20 shipping anywhere in the lower 48 US.

Two questions: How hard is it to fix the broken pin and are you coming to the GS Nats?

Crap! I didn't even notice the broken pin. I have made these repairs before, and will be happy to repair this one. I have other circuit boards to use for donor parts.

Yes, I will be in BG.

I was hoping to use it as a cool way to engage my lockup torque converter. I finally looked it up in the manual. It says it is a hair spring so I'm not sure it would work although that lug for it looks pretty sturdy and it runs the buzzer.

Put me inline until this time tomorrow and I'll either figure it out or pass.

    Hi James,
    Interested.
If you can fix the broken pin, I will take it if it gets to me. You can either ship or I can pick up at BG.

Hi Juan! Good to hear from you.

Ok, I've decided to try to repair this and then decide if this a good unit to sell or possibly give away.

    Greg is first in line.

I've studied the wiring diagram and it looks like I could use it with a relay for my purpose.

I'll take it if you decide it is repairable. I can pay now via PayPal or mail a check to hold it until the GS Nats. Or I can give you cash at the GS Nats. I'm flexible.

    Hi Greg,

I was able to replace the broken pin and it is very secure and ready for use. I will get you some pictures tomorrow.

    Greg,

I texted you pictures, but I'm not sure if you have the same phone number that I have in my phone. Just in case, here are pictures of the repair. I used a solid piece of copper wire inside the pin for more strength, and soldered it in place. It is very sturdy and good to go.
