Trying to clear up a question. I have a cover plate for my original radiator that was on the car when I bought it 35 years ago. It is a "two hole" cover plate - two holes on the passenger side. My car is a mid May build 1970 and the date code on the cover plate is 20. Is this correct for my car? I have been told that Buick went to this version late in the 70 model year

I have a friend with a '70 GSX with a 05B build date on the body tag and that car has the 1-hole cover plate. His dad bought this car brand new so they are certain this is what was on the car when it left Flint. I have seen 2-hole cover plates on late production '70 A-body Buicks that were believed to be original to the cars. I'll try to dig up those photos to see if I have a photo of the date on the trim tags.

I suspect that if you placed an ad in the "Parts Wanted" section of this board someone will dig one up for you.

I’ve only seen one hole versions on 70’s. That included a white May built 70 GSX I know. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t have used the two hole version late but I doubt it. Unless you are serious about concourse at GS nationals no one will care or notice. It depends on your personal choice. It would bother me so I’d look for one hole version.
