Last time I checked shipping a hood from Michigan to California was $220 by Greyhound and over $400 by any other carrier. Greyhound will ship to the terminal closest to you and you would have to pick it up there. I put a hood Ithat have in storeage on e-bay and a guy from California won it but the whole thing fell appart when he found out how much it was going to cost to ship.

    Hello everyone,
I am still looking for a hood for my original post, but folks are now telling me different things about the 1970 hoods versus the 1971 and 1972 hoods. I have a few questions that I am hoping to get answered: 1)Can anyone tell me if the 1970 chrome nose molding from a buick skylark will fit on a 1971 and/or a 1972 GS hood? 2) Was there any differences between the hoods besides the 1970 hoods having no front spring and the 1971 & 1972 having front springs? Thanks Samuel :idea2:

    70 hood has no spring
71-72 has the pop up spring.
Otherwise they dont have any differences as far as i know.

The trim will work, but the gaps will be off if you mix and match. It's best to use the grill, hood trim piece, and headlight bezels from the same year of car in order to make everything line up right.

Anyone else have any comments on the question above about the differences between the three hoods (70-72)? Thanks
