There are no rules I guess. Responded just like Jim wanted us to and someone called him and never posted and purchased it. So why do I get all the smack talk. It's official it is a free for all now. C.Rob:bla: :bla:
The triple posting was not intentional, they all started at the same time. This seems to happen quite frequently with this version of the vBulletin software. The replies on those threads were nothing more than comments about the multiple threads. The duplicate and triplicate threads and posts have been deleted, as they were not relevant to the actual topic.
David that's exactly what happens. It freezes at the submit section and you don't know if you clicked it or not.
I try and stick to the guidelines, but when someone speaks up for a part, then starts having second thoughts or does not respond, I get impatient. I have had this happen a few times, someone wants the part, lets you wait a week and then declines. How long are you supposed to wait and how many other qualified buyers are you supposed to pass up? IMO CASH talks, BS walks. If you want a part, get your money out of your pocket and close the deal. Enough of this pissing around nonsense.
I think the board guidelines are 48 hours. I think it would be ridiculous for someone to expect you to hold a part for them for a week just because they said interested or something. I get what you're saying
All this whining about this policy gets old. It's really simple. Give the guy 48hrs and then move on. No need to wait 4 days or 7 days.ou: I've bought parts for cars and motorcycles on other forums and I can tell you that this IS the fairest way of doing business. Everything is communicated openly that way there is no second guessing, or backroom deals. Its very simple. If you don't feel like following the rules then post your items for sale somewhere else. Sorry for the rant.....moving on now.:beers2:
chris, i like ya, we've dealt on parts, and i think your a good dude..but your sour grapes is just that....give it a break..and move on....you did wrong ya got called out and now your being petty,,,do something constructive.... like i said, i have no issues with ya......bull$hit like this could mess it up for the rest of us...what if they removed the parts for sale section?...for the good of the whole let it go...
Maybe Jim W. should make it CLEAR and re-post the rules? I understand it's a waste of the mans time....but people need to follow the rules:spank:
id bet a hundred dollar bill, parts is the biggest headache on this board for the staff,,,after a while, ya gotta ask if its worth it....
No need to re-post anything, it's all there in a sticky thread on the sales sections. Don't know how much more obvious we can make it. YES, the sales sections are far and away the biggest PITA here. However, I don't see them going away any time soon, and don't personally see any reason to change how we operate. For the most part, our members follow the policies and deal with each other fairly. I've sold quite a few parts here myself. On the occasion when a member sends me a PM wanting to buy a part, I check my thread before I reply. If no one else is in line, I then reply by PM telling him to go post on the thread before someone else beats him to it. Otherwise he has not established his position. If they don't come back on the board soon, I'll post on my own thread and state the member's name and their interest and place in line. If your buyers won't follow the rules, help them to do so.
:gp: David. You are a gentleman and I look forward to doing more business with you in the future:beer
Yep,i've had to "help"someone that PM'd me by telling them to get in line on the post. C.Rob,this post was vindictive, spitefull & totally uncalled for.Your loosing ground dude!:spank:
