Mike- at least it's gone. Nice car, decent $$$$. How's the AMC treating you?

That looks like a very nice car.

I'm not sure how a 1970 carb is "semi-correct" -- it either is or it isn't -- but either way that's a durn sweet ride.:TU:

What I meant by that is, it is a rebuilt Quadrajet that was restored/refinished...it just wasn't a '69 Stage 1 carb, it was a '70 455 carb. In other words, we didn't just stick some Edelbrock on it or something to that effect. And thanks, I think it was a pretty nice car too. :beer

Don't feel bad Mike, this happens all the time on Reserve Auctions...

Does the sales price reflected include the buyers premium ? I see the 23k mile '70 stage1 no sell for 55k. We saw it sell in Scottsdale for 47k. looks like someone was looking for a quick flip.

I suppose they call it "re-sale red" for a reason, but I have always preferred that light shade of yellow -- very classy color for an understated old muscle car or full-size cruiser.

Nope, the price is PLUS a 6% buyer's premium...He had about $83,000 in it total.
