Wow. That's amazing. I was just in Taunton last weekend. Would've gone to look @ just to see it had it been posted.
Amazing condition and yes the trim Tag should be stamped made in Canada with that 12 bolt . No visible reason to believe it was swapped in . Interesting option load if that is a posi .
Looks like it was originally sold in Palm PA, that is the only Spaar listed in the dealer list. Would need to see the vin or trim tag to tell if it was Canadian built but like others have said, the 12 bolt is a give away. Domestic built cars did not use the posi sticker as shown in the trunk either.
My dad's 70 triple black 4 gear had the posi sticker on the deck lid,..it's a flint car,..couldn't find a replacement back in 2000,..so had the pop shop at the mall make one
I'm sure things like this happened regularly @ GMAD where the line workers were used to putting a sticker on one make but another didn't get it. It's not like they were going to stop & peel it off when mistakes were made even if it was realized. I have a Freemont built Skylark that has an undoubtedly original coolant decal that Buicks weren't supposed to get.
