I know I know not Buick but maybe somebody you know needs Merc parts. I hate seeing this old stuff get crushed out. Anyways lots of trim.body and interior parts. I wish I could find Buicks like this with this much meat left on them!!

That's the Marauder X-100, don't part it out, don't crush it.
It's for full-size Mercury lovers what a GSX is for the small model Buick fans, or like a model year 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst for the Mopar crowd.

Only 5635 were built for model year 1969.
Put it on eBay and on Craigslist :Smarty:

Or contact the 1969 Marauder registry:

You guys kill me. That car is entirely restorable. Sheet metal looks straight and no rust out. Look at that console, dash and door panels. Look, I know every car can't be saved but the threshold is so low now that car's like this get mildly parted (read: posi, maybe the drivetrain) then the rest gets crushed.....forever!

429's and C6's are plentiful. Own something a little different.

i love that car on saturday morning me and my dad went to the local wrecking yard and inside there was a complete 1970 mercury marquis with the 429 motor straight no rust were in california...i was going to take pictures of it but i didnt want to even think about it anymore there was also a clean 70 or 71 gran torino same thing but with the 351...i want a 1973 2door marquis....

and just think Guys... these are the cars we just happen to come upon!!!... think about all the cars over the years that we missed!? Those classics and collectibles that woke up one day as a 3x3x3 foot 2200lb hunk of cubed compressed steel... on its way to some foreign asian country...

Back in '69, my Dad took me to Ashton/Dameron Insurance salvage/Auction yard in Hamtramick (a burb of Detroit) looking for a car for He and I to spend the summer restoring. I actually sat in a Yello Yenko Camaro, wrecked in the pass front to the windshield but still ran... AND a 67 XR7 Cougar, I remember seeing 'Dan Gurney Special' on the dash plate, 390, auto, slight rear end crash BUT WELL worth restoring...I sat in a 66? partially burnt HURST OLDS 4 speed, also REALLY wanted a 67 Vette 427 that IIRC wasnt damaged that bad... and had my eye on a new, window sticker still ON THE rear GLASS... 69 Road Runner, HAMMERED on the passenger side... I beleive it was a 440-6...4 speed could've had that car for $600!! HECK that HOOD would've been worth that much!! ..and this one will really hurt some of you.. way back in the back of the lot sat a black, DeTomaso MANGUSTA which had rolled off the delivery transport, BRAND SPANKIN NEW, rolled and crushed one entire side... the opening BID price was $1200!! Later I learned there were just 11 of these cars on US soil!!! :Dou: ..and On & On & on.

We can all agree, this Mercury would be a cool car to prevent from heading on a slow vessel to china as a 3x3x3 hunk of steel.

I SAY. . . .Lets all pool our $:dollar:$:dollar:$ and buy the thing..FORD product or not...a Community Project spread out across the nation!! :TU: HOW ABOUT IT??

If it wasn't a Buick that crossed my path years ago, I now would be driving a '69 Marauder X-100. Beautiful car!

Yeah its unfortunate for some of these cars. When they get to me usually they are parted out to the extreme or in this ones case, no papers, because the guy just wanted it for the engine and the bucket seats,so he never bothered to get transfer papers and just wanted it gone. This is my buddies yard and when anything like this rolls in I intervene to try and get parts out to guys. There is always somebody looking for something for their classics and I like to try and help. My buddy will just put the car aside and I part it until his next crush comes along or if there is enough interest in it ,sometimes they are spared that crush.

I did have it on ebay and craigslist. I had lots of guys needing stuff, then a guy close by,said he would take the whole car and was going give me a deposit and then try to find me some Buick tradsies stuff, well he stung me along and then evaporated!! So here I am again............Cole

Good note on the Marauder. I found a fella that bought it and is going to go through the process and get it registered and restore it! One more cool old ride saved!!:TU:
