1969 GS Tacking Strip

    Hey, Does anyone know of a tack strip kit for the front header bow. It is four pieces total. 3 top and 1 bottom. Prepping for a knew top and would like to do this restoration right,, and once. Thanks

    There are many places to buy those. You could try Convertible Top Guys, they are local to you, and have tack strips. Google 'em.

    Thank you for the tip. I called them, they have the material in two different sizes. This looks like the direction I will take. I was trying to find a kit for the front bow, it is 4 separate pieces and they are shaped and contoured to the header. Anything else will take some time to work, but its only time. Thanks for the response. Appreciated

    Glad to help. Try to get the plastic stuff so you never have to do it again. I don't know of any good top guys in RI (or MA). I had an Electron top done on my 99 Mustang in E. Providence that came out ok. Not fabulous, just ok. It's really hard to find good old car top guys in today's times.
