I have an opportunity to purchase a 69 Electra 225 Coupe for about $1,500 and wanted to know what you all think about this car. I don't follow the big car scene so I'm sure what to think. I can tell you that the car is pretty darn straight, comes with a bunch of parts, interior, dash pad instrument cluster, and nearly everything works on the car. Car starts right off and drives well. Trans shifts nicely, etc. Bad parts are the paint is pretty much gone, headliner needs to be replaced, door and window seals are either rock hard or ripped. The original 430/4 is still in the car and sounds good, although I have not done a compression test, etc. My thoughts were to purchase the car, clean it up real well, have some fun with it and sell it to somebody who would want to take car, or restore the car at some point. Is it worth it? I need another car right now like a need another hole in the head. Thoughts?
Sounds good to me but my opinion is a bit biased.I haven't been able to find some of the weatherstripping for mine.They make nice cruisers.
