I'm 15 and I just got my first car, a 1969 Buick Special Deluxe with a 3 speed stick and straight six. My dad and I are restoring a 68 Buick GS 350 Colorado (which we are converting to a 400) but the Colorado came with the original 350 and turbo 350. Now I'm all for original parts (which is why i'm keeping the straight six and trans) but I really want to rebuild the 350 and put it in my 69 Special Deluxe but I'm not sure about what to do with the transmission. The Colorado's turbo 350 conversion to the the Special Deluxe from manual to auto would be a pain in the ass. So I was wondering if they made (or you possibly knew where to find) a stick transmission for a 350 (or would fit a 350) made in 69 (or a 68 which I think would fit). + I really like stick transmissions because you get more personal with the car (no matter how weird that sounds). Thanks

I think that if it was me I'll swap the 350/th350 in the car.You can probably find all the needed parts on this site or leads for them.I would change the pedals, column, etc. and make the car look as if that's the way that it came from the factory.I would save all the 3sp related parts and the L6 in case that later one wants to go back to stock.

The 3sp will work with the sbb 350 using an adapter, about $60-100.00.The problem will be locating all the parts in order for the engine itself to work with the stick:flywheel, linkages, fork, etc.

The big ape sitting in the corner of the room says to build a 250 inline with flat top 283 slugs, nice cam, split headers all the way back with two 2bbl webers on an Offy intake and a new clutch kit:Brow: .

that 3spd behinf the L6 engine will probably fail when u start hammering the 350. i would be looking for a muncie m21 or m22 out of a buick.
