Rare rare rare 1 of 213 cars built like this 4 speed 400 convertibles in 1969 and then add the awesome color combination of its original code 55 Azure Turquoise mist (one of the most desirable colors) with white interior and top and very rare consolette (which is like half of a console). Totally documented car with 2 build sheets and protecto plate along with many other original books, receipts and advertisements, etc! Car is loaded with options which are all listed on the build sheet but to name a few... power top and power steering, bucket seats, tinted windshield, wheel opening moldings, consolette, rally control package, M20 4 speed, dual exhaust, power steering, chrome rally wheels, mirror and lamp, tachometer, Sonomat radio, rear speaker and much more that I skipped. The car is a great driver with nice paint of it's original color with some light wear from driving over the years (small chip here and there), interior is completely original, the top is probably the original top as well and has seen better days but is quite presentable, trunk is original and solid but could use new speckle paint, floors are original as well and have no rust and never had any. Very solid, awesome driver and the rarest of rare! Thanks for looking.

Nearly half of his ‘options’ are standard on a GS400. That interior looks like boat store special, and the hood emblem situation is really odd. But a four gear, big block convertible is still a very cool thing!

Maybe the car was built on a Monday or Friday and that would explain the hood emblems. Lol
If anything the hood was replaced with one from a GS California and had no holes but he is a wee
    bit off with his measurements.

Didn't GS Californias get the domed hood with fresh air induction (without any engine callout emblems)? The hood could have originally been on one of those. Or, the holes could have been filled in previously and then mis-drilled. Either way, it's not difficult for anyone to check the internet for pics before drilling holes in metal.

Interior is completely original? Uh-uh. "Completely redone" might be a true statement though. He mentions power steering twice, so that could be a rare option. I guess it makes it twice as easy to steer? As for the "400s" on the hood, someone was smoking something very illegal when they put those on. Steve Wonder could have come closer to correct placement. When I bought my '69, the original hood was already gone so I went to a junkyard and bought a hood from a GS California, bought some "400" emblems from one of you guys here, and I am making sure I drill holes in the right spot.

It's baffling: Why put so much time and money into making or keeping SOME of it original looking, and messing up so badly in other areas? My car doesn't look 100% original either, but I can explain some logical reasons for the mods I have made. Where this car gets it wrong, there doesn't seem to be a good reason for it.

BTW, the seller has pulled the ad, it seems. Maybe someone bought the car, fixed those mistakes, and now has a much better looking car.

Nice but he should have called you first. But overall a 69 GS ragtop 4 spd , you can't be too picky. Can't be too many solid ones left.

What's w/ppl. You were a phone call away.

My neighbor (car guy) texts & asks if I fix bent wheels (I have & can but it's not what I do & I don't like to). Says the tire shop told him both his front wheels (alum. - Centerlines maybe?) are bent. I tell him "I doubt it - If I had $5 for every time a tire shop said that... I have a balancer in my garage & all the correct fixtures. Bring 'em over & at least let me check the runouts."

I never hear back. Haven't seen him but I assume he took them to get "fixed."
